The World Races to Hershey for the 
AACA Eastern Divisional Fall Meet 
Antique Automobile Club of America Hosts 
Largest Antique Car Show in World Oct. 8 to 11, 2014
Hershey, PA.  Hershey Region and the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) welcome antique and collectible car enthusiasts from all over the world to Hershey, PA, for the Eastern Divisional Fall Meet, October 8 to 11, 2014. Admission to the public for all events is free. Visit our flea market with 3,000 vendors, wander among the 1,200+ vintage cars on display and experience the Car Corral where almost 1,000 antique cars will be up for sale. The show is open dawn to dusk, Wed. thru Sat.

On Saturday, Oct. 11, 1,250 antique vehicles will enter the show field starting at 7:00 a.m., spectator’s welcome, and judging begins at 10:00 a.m. Free programs for kids and adults. At 12:00 p.m. in front of the Giant Center, Hershey Region will celebrate 100 Years of Dodge and 50 Years of the fabulous street hemi to include a birthday cake treat. Pappy Hemi will explain how he powered Richard Petty and others to NASCAR fame. Youth are invited to a hands-on activity, using tools, to help dis-assemble a mini bike and Dodge memorabilia will be on display throughout the day. Free give-a-way for kids.

Students From Ten Pennsylvania Schools to Compete in 2014 Automotive Technology Competition

On March 13, 2014, the above students will compete in the PAA Automotive Technology Competition for scholarships and prizes. The winning school will advance to the 2014 National Automotive Technology Competition at the New York International Auto Show.

A team of two students from the ten top schools were selected for the competition through a written qualifying exam, in which a pool of 107 students from 16 schools participated. To prepare for the competition, students are currently training at new car dealerships in their areas. On competition day, the students will face a test of advanced automotive diagnostic skills on 2014 vehicles with predetermined defects. The 2014 vehicles will be supplied by area franchised dealerships.

The Pennsylvania Automotive Association represents the nearly 1,000 new car and truck dealers in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It also provides its members with: legislative advocacy, regulatory and compliance assistance, title services, a charitable foundation, insurance, a dealer purchasing online store, and training.

About the AACA Museum

The Antique Automobile Club of America Museum, a member of the Smithsonian Institution Affiliations Program, displays beautifully restored automobiles, buses and motorcycles in unique life-like scenes representing the 1890s – 1980s in a cross-country journey from New York to San Francisco.   This Museum, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, is known to be one of the largest automotive museums. Special exhibits change several times a year and focus on a variety of eras and types of vehicles.  The Museum is located just off Route 39, one mile west of Hersheypark Drive in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Regular admission $10, seniors age 61 and older $9, juniors age 4-12 $7, children age 3 and under are FREE.  The Museum is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.  For further information, please call 717-566-7100 or visit www.AACAMuseum.org.
